Responsibility is doing what we can and should do, and not expecting others to do it for us. Doing our best at whatever we do and finishing what we start is one way of showing responsibility. Duties like helping with housework, doing our homework, or taking care of our environment, are examples of responsibilities. Following through on our promises to others is another way. Being responsible also means that we admit our mistakes whenever we do something wrong, and then act responsibly by trying to correct them.
