Truthfulness is the foundation of all human virtues. Sometimes people lie because they are afraid that the truth will get them into trouble. Telling the truth means that we have the courage to admit our mistakes. Truthfulness means telling the truth regardless of what the consequences might be. Telling the truth makes us strong. If we are not truthful, all of our other virtues cannot develop to their full potential.
